How can this be?  Our year end is starting to unfold and that is usually the craziest time of the entire year for the government.  Well, I am actually proud to say I took the bull by the horns and got a lot of stuff done leading up to this point and now I am just waiting for contracts to be awarded.  So I am attempting to break my Pac Man score, which is not going so well today.  I am feeling tired from running 4 miles at lunch, only 6 more to run for the day and somewhere I need to get a swim in.  I have not been sleeping so well lately, and I can not figure out why.  Maybe it is the up and coming arrival of my R and R, maybe it is the thought of not really knowing where my life is going, who knows.  I was made aware this morning that I did in fact get picked for a job offer I put in over here.  I am not accepting it.  I am just going to stick to my 6 month extensions.  That would be the best possible choice for me.  Then I am not tied into anything and I will still retain my job back home.  I got an email from my friends who are going to see DMB this weekend up at Alpine Valley.  If you are a fan of DMB, you MUST see him at Alpine up in Wisconsin.  The place is HUGE!  It is an outdoor music theatre, and has been by far my favorite place to see DMB and trust me, I have traveled afar to see the band rock out…  I love out door theatres like Alpine, the lawn is the place to be, but usually sometime during the show we sneak down into the seating area…now that I think about it, I don’t know why we do that, we don’t sit, we are always dancing during DMB shows, maybe it is just to get closer and the thrill of breaking the rules, who knows.  My friends are going to drink one for me they said, hopefully it is before the concert, beers at these shows are hella-expensive.  Were talking 8 dollars for one beer…that is one reason so many people tailgate it before hand, well, that is just one reason, half the fun is partying beforehand with your friends and neighbors at these concerts.  I can’t wait to do that again with my friends.  You hear different Dave songs being played out of just about every car stereo, everyone is drinking, playing bags, or other college “quad” games, a lot of people put up flags of their alma mater or current school and that way it stands as a good marker for people to meet up.  You will see everyone and their brother playing guitar.  Back in 98 when I was up there, one of my buddies who plays drums gathered a group of all these guys playing instruments and before we all knew it, there was a concert going on out in the parking area!  That by far was the craziest time I have ever had at a DMB concert.  Lets just say there might have been some special cookies that found there way into our stomachs’…You are guaranteed to have a good time unless you are a fun hater… 

Step Brothers…has anybody seen it?  It has got some good one liners, but I do not think it is as funny as Old School or Talladega Nights.  This is def not a movie you would take your little brothers or sisters to either…but it did have me laughing, that is for sure.  I am a big Will fan.

I miss the rain.  There has been no rain for about six months.  I know back home it has been raining like mad and they are sick of it and I never thought I would miss the rain coming from the Mid-West, but I do, and I can not wait to go out and run in the rain when I get home.  Okay, I think I have wasted enough of your time with my pointless blog, so if you get a chance I highly recommend going to a Dave show if you have not been, you will have a blast.  I know I will be rocking out at the shows once again when I return, so be looking for this guy!
